wake da, wake ga nai · no wonder ~; there is no way ~

〜わけだ draws the natural conclusion (no wonder, so that is why); 〜わけがない flatly denies a possibility (there is no way).

How to form it

Plain form +
Plain form +
Noun +

How it is used

寒いわけだ」, the window is open; no wonder it is cold.

わけがない is stronger than はずがない and sounds emotional: 「そんなこと、できるわけがない」.
