実家の 押し入れから、二十年前の 手紙の 束が 出て きた。学生時代の 友人から の ものだ。
読み返して おどろいたのは、内ようより 文字だった。急いで 書いた 日は 字が 乱れ、落ち着いて いた 日は ていねいだ。書いた 人の その日の 状態が、紙の 上に 残って いる。
メールにも 気持ちは のる。だが、同じ フォントで 表示される 以上、体調や 気分までは 伝わらない。それが よい ことか どうかは、わからないけれど。
