「時間が ない」が 口ぐせだった。仕事も 家事も やる ことは 多く、一日が 足りないと 本気で 思って いた。ある とき、試しに 一週間、何に 何分 使ったかを 書き出して みた。
結果は 意外な ものだった。仕事に 使った 時間は 思って いた ほど 長く なく、むしろ 「何を するか 決められない まま すごした 時間」が 一日 平均 一時間半も あった。次に 何を するか 迷い、スマートフォンを 見て、また 迷う。その くり返しだ。
そこで、前の 日の 夜に 翌日 やる ことを 三つだけ 書く ことに した。三つ 以上は 書かない。多すぎると、けっきょく どれから 手を つけるか 迷うからだ。
一か月 続けて みて、こなせる 量は ほとんど 変わって いない。ただ、「時間が ない」と 言わなく なった。時間が 足りなかったのでは なく、決めて いなかっただけだと わかったからだ。
