スマートフォンの地図はべんりだ。行きたい場所を入れれば、道を教えてくれる。しかしわたしは、はじめての町を歩くときは、あえて紙の地図をつかう。画面は見ているところしかわからないが、紙の地図は町ぜんたいが一目で見える。まわりに何があるのかを知りながら歩くほうが、その町をよくおぼえられる気がするのだ。
