〜によると
ni yoru to · according to ~
〜によると names the source of what you heard, and usually ends with そうだ or らしい: ニュースによると、明日は雪だそうです.
How to form it

How it is used
The end of the sentence usually marks it as hearsay: そうだ, らしい, ということだ.
によれば means the same and is slightly more formal.

- 天気予報によると、明日は雪が降るそうです。According to the forecast, it will snow tomorrow.
- 友達の話によると、あの店は来月閉まるらしいです。According to my friend, that shop is closing next month.
- 調査によると、若者の読書時間が減っているということだ。According to a survey, young people are reading less.
- ニュースによれば、事故の原因はまだ分からないそうです。According to the news, the cause of the accident is still unknown.
