〜ように
you ni · so that ~; (with 言う) tell someone to ~
〜ように gives a purpose you cannot simply choose: 聞こえるように大きい声で話す, speak loudly so that people can hear.
How to form it

How it is used
Use ように with potential verbs, with ない and with things outside your control. Use ために with deliberate actions.
〜ように言う or 頼む reports an instruction: 「先生に早く来るように言われました」.
Examples

- 忘れないように、メモしておきます。I'll make a note so I don't forget.
- 後ろの人にも見えるように、大きく書きます。I write big so the people at the back can see too.
- 風邪をひかないように、気をつけてください。Take care not to catch a cold.
- 母に早く帰るように言われました。My mother told me to come home early.
