〜ずに
zu ni · without doing ~ (written)
〜ずに is the written form of 〜ないで, without doing: 何も言わずに帰った, he left without saying anything.
How to form it
| V-ない (drop ない) + ずに | 食べずに |
| する → せずに | 勉強せずに |
How it is used
する is irregular: せずに, never しずに. 来る becomes 来ずに.
〜ずにはいられない (N2) means can't help doing.
Examples

- 辞書を使わずに、この文章を読んでください。Please read this passage without a dictionary.
- 朝ご飯を食べずに家を出ました。I left home without eating breakfast.
