〜かどうか
ka dou ka · whether or not ~
〜かどうか puts a yes-or-no question inside a sentence: 来るかどうか分からない, I don't know whether he's coming.
How to form it
| Verb / い-adj (plain) + かどうか | 行くかどうか |
| Noun / な-adj + かどうか | 本当かどうか |
| Question word … + か | 何時に来るか |
How it is used
With a question word, use only か: 「何が欲しいか教えてください」.
Nouns and な-adjectives attach directly, without だ.
Examples

- 明日のパーティーに行くかどうか、まだ決めていません。I haven't decided whether to go to tomorrow's party.
- この答えが正しいかどうか、確かめてください。Please check whether this answer is right.
- 彼が来るかどうか知っていますか。Do you know whether he is coming?
- 何時に始まるか分かりません。I don't know what time it starts.
