〜が好き
ga suki · like ~
好き is a な-adjective, so the thing you like takes が: 私は猫が好きです. 嫌い, 上手 and 下手 work the same way.
How to form it
| Noun + が好き | 音楽が好き |
| Noun + が上手 | 料理が上手 |
| Noun + が嫌い | 魚が嫌い |
How it is used
Before a noun it becomes 好きな: 「好きな食べ物は何ですか」.
To like doing something, add の to the verb: 「泳ぐのが好きです」.
Examples

Common mistake
- ✗ 私は音楽を好きです。✓ 私は音楽が好きです。好き is an adjective, so its object takes が.
